IP66
The protection class IP66 means that a device is completely protected against strong splash water and dust. IP stands for International Protection.
The digits have the following meaning:
6 = Dustproof
6 = Protection against strong water jets
IP69K
The protection class IP69K was developed for areas in which additional protection against high pressure and temperatures is necessary. This type of protection is promoted primarily in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as the housing here is regularly exposed to high-pressure water jets.
The individual letters and numbers have the following meanings:
6 = Dustproof
9 = Protection against ingress of water during high pressure / steam jet cleaning
K = Proctection against high temperature
IEC lantern
The IEC lantern is an important tool for measuring and testing lighting devices. It enables precise comparisons to be made between different products and technologies, which is particularly beneficial in industrial applications. The standardization of measurement methods ensures a uniform evaluation of performance and efficiency in lighting technology.
IEX engine construction
Although “IEX Motorenbau” is not directly mentioned in the search results, it can be concluded that these are electric motors classified according to IEC standards. These motors offer a good balance between performance, efficiency and reliability and are widely used in industry.
Internal ribbing
Internal ribbing is a vertical support beam within a room that provides additional support and stability. Their main purpose is to distribute the load to the foundation walls or footings and thus increase the static load-bearing capacity of the structure.
Insulating materials
Insulating materials are materials that reduce or prevent the flow of heat, electrical current or sound between different areas. They are used to ensure energy efficiency and safety in various technical applications.
Inverter
Inverters are an important component of modern drive technology and energy management systems, as they enable precise control and energy optimization.
Intention-driven
Power take-off gearboxes are gearboxes that are integrated into power take-off shafts. They are used to change the speed and torque of the attachment shaft in relation to the main shaft.
IP68
IP68 is one of the highest protection classes and stands for the Ingress Protection certificate and means that a device is fully protected against dust and water.
The first number 6 stands for the protection class against dust, meaning complete sealing.
The second number 8 indicates water resistance, which means that the device is completely sealed against water.
IP67
IP67 stands for the Ingress Protection certificate and means that a device is fully protected against dust and can be submerged under water for a short time.
The first number 6 indicates the protection class against dust, which means that it is completely sealed.
The second number 7 indicates water resistance, meaning that the device is submersible under water for a short period of time.
IP65
IP65 stands for the Ingress Protection certificate and means that a device is only partially protected against dust and water.
The first number 6 indicates the protection class against dust, which means that the device is dustproof.
The second number 5 indicates water resistance, which means that the device is protected against splashing water.
